The World's Impact on Us

The Lord prays to the Father he doesn't want his disciples to be taken out of the World, but to deliver them from all Evil and he repeats this multiple times. This world is full of evil and temptations we are to abstain from. We as the family of Christ do not need to go looking for temptations because they will find us on there own, so how can we keep ourselves from evil and temptations?
