What Are These Ducks Doing? Eating ? Cooling Off??

We have a "lake" (retention pond, but stocked with fish) behind our house and there is all sorts of water fowl shenanigans that happens, what are these ducks doing? The dogs ignored them, but my wife's laugh is infectious.... I think :D
