Goodness of God

In this sermon, we dive into the deep and unchanging goodness of God as revealed in Psalm 138:8: “The Lord will fulfill his purpose for me; your steadfast love, O Lord, endures forever. Do not forsake the work of your hands.” God's love is steadfast and His purpose for our lives is certain, regardless of the challenges we may face.
First, we will explore the question, What is Jesus asking of you? Through the lens of Isaiah 64:8, Romans 9:20-21, and Jeremiah 18:3-7, we understand that God, as the Potter, shapes our lives according to His will. Like clay in the Potter's hand, we are called to trust His molding, even when the process is difficult or uncomfortable.
Next, we will reflect on the question, Are you willing to let go of your dreams? Hebrews 11:25, 1 Thessalonians 5:16-18, and Acts 14:22 remind us that true fulfillment often comes through surrendering our personal desires to God's greater plan. Just as Joseph’s dreams were tested by adversity, we too must choose faithfulness over fleeting pleasures, knowing that God's plan is better than our own.
Lastly, we will be encouraged to remain faithful on our journey with Jesus. Romans 11:29 and 1 Peter 5:10 remind us that God’s calling is irrevocable, and He will restore and strengthen us through trials. Even when faced with difficulties, we are called to endure, trusting that God’s goodness will carry us through.
This sermon will inspire us to trust in God's unchanging goodness, surrender our will to His, and remain faithful as He works in us.
