Inverse Pythagorean theorem. Let $ABC$ be a right triangle with right angle $C$. Let $BC=a$, $CA=b$, and let $h$ be the length of the altitude of the triangle from the vertex $C$. Then $\frac{1}{a^2} + \frac{1}{b^2} = \frac{1}{h^2}$.
