To visit the girl's father, a divorced mother and her rebellious daughter had to make an impromptu late-night road trip. On a rainy night, they are traveling over empty country roads when they are abruptly involved in a shocking crash that leaves them shocked but unharmed. However, their car is dead, and as they make fruitless attempts to reach assistance, they discover they are not alone—a terrible evil is waiting in the woods, determined to keep them from ever leaving.
