When will we go to the polls? MP's agree to drop date change.

The Canadian Federal election is supposed to be held on 3rd Monday of Oct every 4 years, which would make itOct 20, 2025.
Liberals/NDP say Diwali falls on Oct 20, 2025, so push it to Oct 27, 2025 which would have guaranteed pensions for 2 term Liberal and NDP's MP's.

But now the MPs agree to drop proposed change to next fixed election date--I'm in disbelief but a report out today says it's true.
