Gauteng DPP Flags Low Finalisation Rate of Corruption Cases

The Director of Public Prosecutions in Gauteng, Advocate Sibongile Mzinyathi, has raised concerns over the low finalisation rate of corruption-related cases. Speaking at a media briefing at the National Prosecuting Authority in Pretoria, Mzinyathi cited a shortage of prosecutors with specialised skills and fierce legal contestation by accused individuals as major challenges hampering progress.
