How to NOT flip a ship for NEGATIVE PROFIT

So I tried and failed to flip a ship... here is the result. It turns out the small shuttle was actually a luxury yacht, and even completely derelict was worth $1M - more than I had. This means I ended up spending a thousand or so on shuttles for nothing...

Though I did manage to successfully complete a timed quest in the Platinum range because I made it back to OKLG far earlier than I otherwise would have.
