This fight over Secretary of Defense nominee Pete Hegseth is actually definitional for all of official Washington right now. The week is ending far differently than it started. There is a violent resistance to change. Sparks flew in a hearing with the acting Secret Service director as he tried to continue to explain away how the next president of the United States was nearly killed. It's a righteous anger and the people are demanding accountability. Still think mail in ballots are a good idea? You won't after you hear what the USPS has uncovered in Philadelphia. (No surprise).
