A long, long time ago, in a galaxy far away, radio host, bible teacher and author Steve Gregg broadcast a debate on Calvinism & Arminianism with Matt Slick on The Narrow Path (https://thenarrowpath.com) over two days. Steve's biography: https://thenarrowpath.com/biography.php. Matt Slick (67 years old in 2024) is the founder and president of CARM, the Christian Apologetics and Research Ministry, carm.org. Matt was raised in a nominally Christian home. He got involved in the occult at an early age but met Jesus when he was 17. He was an assistant pastor in a Christian Reformed Church and a senior pastor in the Presbyterian Church of America. Both were in southern California at two Reformed Churches. Now runs CARM full time. He is married to his wife Annick (a-neek) and has three daughters. Matt graduated from Christ College Irvine (Lutheran, LCMS) in Irvine, CA, in 1987 with a Bachelor’s in Social Science. In 1991, he earned his Master of Divinity from Westminster Theological Seminary (Presbyterian) in Escondido, CA.

Matt started CARM in 1995 to answer critics’ questions and to make it easy to provide answers to more than one person at a time in chat rooms and the early bulletin board systems. It grew into what it is today. As of May 2024, it has had over 162 million visitors. CARM supports missionaries in Colombia (miapic.org), Brazil (https://defendendoafe.com.br), Africa, and Turkey.
