Today we go over the meaning of "Aviyah" and how it connects us to YHWH in the story of Zechariah and John the Baptist.
Zechariah was a priest in the ceremonial order laid out by King David and his order was called "Aviyah" He drew lots and won the privilege
to conduct the ceremony which only came once in a Priest's life. It so happened that the lot was drawn in the year and three months preceding Yeshua's birth and it was done at Pentecost 4 B.C.E.
This ceremony has significant meaning on so many levels when talking about John being the forerunner of Yeshua as "The Light of The World."
