The TRUTH on Why Some Fighters Don't Like Turki Alalshikh

In a world of change, boxing is evolving with the times just like other sports. American boxing has suffered from oversaturating the market with non-competitive pay-per-view fights.

Turki Alalshihk, with the backing of Saudi Arabia, has been changing the sport for the better since the Riyadh season's introduction in 2019, things have slowly changed in the sport.

The heavyweight division has seen a resurgence as of late with killer matchups. Deontay Wilder and Anthony Joshua both were exposed so to speak on Riyadh season fight cards.

Wilder lost twice to Joseph Parker and Zhilei Zhang. Anthony Joshua KO's Otto Wallin, but got knocked out by Daniel Dubois. Frank Sanchez got KO'ed by Junior Fa.

Since then, Turki Alalshihk has put on 2 undisputed matches. Beterbiev vs Bivol happened because of Turki Alalshihk. Frank Warren and Bob Arum both acknowledged that if it wasn't for Turki, the fight wouldn't have happened.

Tyson Fury wanted astronomical amounts of money to fight Usyk. Turki made that fight happen. Now Oleksandr Usyk is the undisputed champ. We're getting a rematch on December 21st.

Usyk will get the lion's share of the money this time. All because of Turki Alalshkh. Beterbiev and Bivol rematch will go down on February 22nd of 2025, and the undercard is stacked.

All because of Turki Alalshikh. The matchmaking is what makes the fights competitive. You have to fight tough fights if you're a big-name fighter. There's no cherry-picking easy opponents for big money. You have to fight.

Turki owns Ring Magazine, I'm anxious to see what he does with it. There's no duck language with the Sheik. If you want our money, you'll fight who we want you to fight. It's that's simple.

I'm hearing rumors about making one belt per division, and no more twenty-five champions per sanctioning body. That type of stuff confuses the fans. The matchmaking is what certain boxing fans and fighters don't like about Turki Alalshikh.

Boxing fans on Reddit say Turki has exposed boxing. He's exposed the hype jobs and promotional weaknesses. Everyone has to step their game up now. Let's talk about it.
