The video game industry appears to be faced with a reckoning of sorts. Several AAA games have failed over the past year, and there seems to be some common elements among them, despite the variation in genre and story: all of them have heavy and prominent "representation" elements. Not only that, but the designers and developers of these games seem to take it personally when gamers reject the games because of the political messaging.
