"Hummingly... It's Never Too Late to Learn!"
Hummer is intensely practicing piano.
Yes, at 68 years old!
All the years that she actually taught her four boys to play, she was never able to sit at the bench. It was always occupied!
The boys started at 5 years old, and ended lessons with yours truly at around 16.
My job as their piano teacher was to proved music, make sure they practiced regularly and played in public.
They were a weekly treat at our neighborhood nursing home; the residents loved them.
And, I might add, they were good! They all had the skill passed on from their birth families, as they are all adopted!
So, now I (at 68) am determined to learn myself!
It's quite humbling to share this, but I must apply the same disciplines on myself that the boys had to endure: play in public. That is You.
