Psalm 23 is wonderful!

When I set out to film this Psalm, I knew it had to be epic! This is perhaps the most beloved chapter in all of scripture. And so I filmed it on both coasts-- in Lyme New Hampshire and Big Sur, California. What does Psalm 23 mean to me? I am at peace when I am shooting anything set to scripture. The Lord has given me a love of nature-- for the height and depth of His creation which I try to weave through every frame of my work. When cameras are rolling, I lack nothing. He leads me beside quiet waters and I even try to stir them up a bit because that's what I do. My valley of the shadow of death is any place without Jesus. My soul is restored when the sun comes out and shooting can resume; (I'm not so sure that God created the world on cloudy days) "...And God saw that it was good." (Genesis 1:12) I LOVE that He guides us, anoints us, gives us a cup of abundance, and directs us to places of cool and refreshing rest.

Psalm 23 (A Psalm of David) The Lord is my shepherd; I shall not want. He makes me lie down in green pastures. He leads me beside still waters. He restores my soul. He leads me in paths of righteousness for his name's sake. Even though I walk through the valley of the shadow of death, I will fear no evil, for you are with me; your rod and your staff, they comfort me. You prepare a table before me in the presence of my enemies; you anoint my head with oil; my cup overflows. Surely goodness and mercy shall
