On November 29, 2024, President Nicolás Maduro gave a speech at a Pro-Palestine conference, organized by the Venezuelan government in Caracas. The meeting, attended by hundreds of international guests, was part of a series of conferences organized by the Maduro government to follow-up on the international anti-fascism movement that they launched in September.

The conference took place shortly after Israel and Hezbollah signed a ceasefire-agreement in Lebanon. Maduro expressed his concern about the intentions behind the agreement because the Zionists' plan has always been to occupy the entire area from the Jordan to the Euphrates: "Today it is Palestine, today it is Lebanon, but they want to go after Syria and Iraq, after Jordan and the entire region!" Now, with the recent fall of Assad in Syria and the subsequent attacks by Israel on the country, Maduro has been proven right.

NL: Op 29 november 2024 hield Nicolás Maduro een toespraak tijdens een door de Venezolaanse overheid georganiseerde Pro-Palestina conferentie in Caracas. De bijeenkomst, waarbij een honderdtal internationale gasten aanwezig waren, was onderdeel van een reeks congressen die de regering Maduro organiseert om de internationale anti-fascismebeweging die ze in september zijn gestart, meer handen en voeten te geven.

De conferentie vond plaats vlak nadat Israël en Hezbollah in Libanon een staakt-het-vuren overeenkwamen. Maduro meent dat het bestand niet veel voorstelt omdat het plan van de zionisten altijd is geweest om het hele gebied van de Jordaan tot aan de Eufraat te bezetten: “Nu is het Palestina en Libanon maar ze willen Syrië en Irak, Jordanië en de hele regio inpikken!” Met de val van Assad in Syrië en de daaropvolgende aanvallen van Israël op het land, heeft hij daarmee gelijk gekregen.
