‘No one is optimistic’ about Donald Trump’s tariff proposals

Political commentator and analyst Aidan Smith says neither economist on the left and right is “optimistic” about what US President-elect Donald Trump’s tariffs proposals could mean.

His comments come as Americans are fearful that some of the chat surrounding large tariffs on other countries could come back and burn them.
