The Clarion Call reaction to Ronald Reagan's most famous speech, "A time for choosing." (1964)

This televised speech given in October of 1964 in support of the Barry Goldwater presidential campaign put Ronald Reagan on the political map. It was just 3 years later that he was elected Governor of California in his first political race.

As we all know in 1980 he wa elected President and then was re-elected in 1984 in a landslide. It is easy to see the basis of "The Great Communicator's" popularity in this well-crafted speech.
