1. WE ARE WELCOMED TO THE CRADLE
"And they came with haste, and found Mary, and Joseph, and the babe lying in a manger.” Luke 2:16

2. WE ARE REWARDED WITH THE CROWN
They cast their crowns before the throne, saying, “Worthy are you, our Lord and God, to receive glory and honor and power. Revelation 4:10-11

At the end of the New Testament, Jesus Christ is revealed as the . . . “King of kings and the Lord of lords” (Rev. 19:16)
And we are told that “on his head are many crowns” (19:12 NIV).

3. WE ARE WEEDED OUT AT THE CROSS
A. The Offense of the Cross
For the word of the cross is foolishness to those who are perishing. (1 Corinthians 1:18)

“Christ crucified, to Jews a stumbling block and to Gentiles foolishness” (1 Corinthians 1:23)
Some are Offended Intellectually
Some are Offended Egotistically

B. The Proclamation of the Cross
“But we preach Christ crucified”. (1 Corinthians 1:23)

C. The Power of the Cross
“But to us who are being saved it is the power of God” (1 Corinthians 1:18)
