Christmas: The Celebration of the Incarnation or Adoption of Pagan Practices?

Christmas is a beloved holiday for millions around the world. Yet, some Christians have objections to the celebration of Christmas. Steve Lagoon responds to the critics of Christmas in his book, “In Defense of Christmas.” He shows that the claim that the Christmas Holiday was an innovation borrowed from paganism to be false. Indeed, the fact is that Christians have celebrated the birth of Jesus Christ since apostolic times. In the first section of the book, Steve reviews the gospel nativity narratives including Luke’s census, the Magi, and the star of Bethlehem. In section two, he examines the chronology of Christ’s birth, exploring the timing of Christ’s birth, including the possibility that our Lord was actually born in the winter, even on 25 December.
