I didn't let this surgery be an excuse to let up my discipline.

Cutting yourself a break feels good right now but proving that nothing can take you out feels good for a long time.

This knee surgery was a practice round for my shoulder surgery I'm getting in 2 days.

That's a much longer recovery and much more painful process.

But now I have proof in my head That's bigger than an affirmation.

I didn't give in today.

So I know I won't give in tomorrow.
