The main idea behind the song "Don't Be a Jerk (It's Christmas)" is essentially to just do the basic good deeds - to behave in a generally jolly way. The unfortunate aspect of this idea is the fact that in the world today we HAVE to be reminded to do good for people to even consider it. But doing good should be the default.
