Join me as I share a frightening part of my life where I felt helpless and in dread. The one who was not legally allowed to be in my life (and for good reason) had hashed a plan that left me at his mercy, living a life of uncertainty filled with twists and turns. Upon finding freedom, and with only a 5th-grade education, I was left to navigate to find my place in this world. Feeling unloved and unwanted, I got myself into situations that left me even more empty and alone. In all my mess and brokenness, God chased me down. He kept trying to get my attention to tell me that He loved me, that my life was NOT meaningless, and that He had a purpose in creating me ...so much so that He showed up and revealed Himself. He never gave up on me!! Never stopped trying. Never cast me aside. By His stripes we ARE healed. He came to bind up the brokenhearted. He proved His love for me 2000 years ago on the cross and then manifested His love and peace in a way I never imagined possible. You hear stories of being saved in coming to Christ, how life-changing it is, but until you experience Him for yourself ....there is nothing like Him!! Until you experience Him living on the inside with waves of love, comfort, and peace washing through you ...there are no words to fully describe! He is my Healer. He is my Comforter! He is my Good Shepherd. My Lord and Savior. The name ABOVE all names. The name that overcomes any obstacle. The name more powerful than depression. More powerful than low self-worth. The name that chases away anxiety, fear, and hopelessness. His name is Jesus.
