A CLOSER LOOK | UNITED WE READ

"United We Read, a program by United Way of Kingsport, is dedicated to improving literacy and education in our community, with a particular focus on boosting 3rd-grade literacy rates—a critical milestone, as children who read proficiently by the end of 3rd grade are more likely to succeed academically and beyond. In addition to this, the program supports other initiatives aimed at helping young children meet their literacy goals. Today, we’re joined by Kelsie Dulaney, the Impact and Education Manager, as she talks with Crystal Carter about her role and the transformative work of this initiative.
