Merry Christmas from Sidney

This is my favorite time of year and I want to take a few minutes to wish each and every one of you a very Merry Christmas.

This Christmas my family and I have decided to forego any gifts to each other, or to our friends for that matter, and to give everything that we would have spent otherwise to our friends at BlackMountainHome.org in the mountains of North Carolina.

Black Mountain Home is a Christian organization that takes care of orphaned, abused, and neglected children in a home-like environment. They are indeed part of a family there.

Black mountain home experienced the largest landslide that happened in North Carolina, and that’s saying a lot, after Helene given that I-40 washed off the side of the mountain in more than one place, and all the devastation that so many people endured.

There are real hardships being experienced by countless people in the North Carolina mountains now, and anything you can do to help Black Mountain Home would be especially appreciated.

I have known of the work of Black Mountain Home for at least two decades and they do a wonderful job. Anything I can do to help them, I will always try to do.
