Is Final Fantasy 16 Really Worth Playing?

Hey long time fans of Final Fantasy, did you enjoy playing Final Fantasy XVI for the PS5? I've not been too excited for it as I've heard mixed reviews on it and the game seemed very dark and depressing to me. However I recently saw it on sale at Walmart for just 25 bucks so I thought at that price I'd pick it up. I'd love to hear if you think this game is worth playing if your favorite Final Fantasy games are ones like FF7, FF10, FF12 etc.
