THE WITCHER 4 Director Has a Good Response to Ciri Backlash

The Witcher 4 has been getting a lot of pushback from fans since the first trailer was released and now the Narrative Director behind the game has chimed in with a decent response.

Ordinarily game developers get defensive and resort to attacking fans whenever they get pushback for decisions that appear to push DEI, but Narrative Director Phillipp Weber has said he not only understands the criticism, but also thinks it’s valid. The team behind the decision to elevate Ciri to the lead in The Witcher 4 claim the decision was not made lightly and done with the intention to freshen up the story. This may not be enough to win people over, but it is a huge demonstration of good will.
