The Clarion Call on Merle Haggard's "If we can make it through December." (1973) #reaction

What an especially timely song this year as we all impatiently wait for the transition of our national government, but of course that was not what Merle was thinking about when he wrote and performed this song 51 years ago!

The theme of this song of the working man struggling and not being able to have a cheerful Christmas is something that unfortunately has not changed much in the interim. Wishing all of you a Merry Christmas and a Prosperous New Year!
