Quran 4:34 allows for the physical disciplining of women, reducing them to a status of subservience, which is degrading and abusive. The Hadith, like Sahih al-Bukhari 5133, where Muhammad marries Aisha at six and consummates the marriage at nine, paints Muhammad not just as a prophet but as a pedophile, according to modern standards. This is not just cultural; it's morally repugnant.
