As migrants rushed to the border, the US border guard fired tear gas and ordered helicopters to drive away the migrants. Meanwhile, asylum seekers have formed a new caravan in Mexico and are heading to the United States before President-elect Donald Trump takes office on January 20, 2025. Meanwhile, Trump’s Border Czar Tom Homan says that he wants at least 100,000 beds to deport undocumented migrants and that he will ask Congress to increase the budget of Immigrations and Customs Enforcement or ICE.
