More focused on Stalin's side but the message gets across. Trotskyism, the other wing of communism came into the Republican party from Sen Henry Jackson office, actual communist democrats calling themselves conservatives in the 70s, 80s who took over Buckley's movement completely.
Communism-vs-capitalism is a scam in the sense of who's funding it but there are true believers getting the funding, Trotsky for example. It's hard to unpack any of it without getting something else wrong. But Neocons and Dems were just Trotskyists and Stalinists. The Cold War from the US side was mostly Trotskyists fighting Stalinists while posing as anti-communists. Not sure on Mullins theory it was all about Israel. That could be part of it.
The guy who talks in the middle is Jay Dyer, not a legend like the other two just a guy who researches this, & gives some important names like Burnham, Rand Corp, Michael Lind, permanent revolution (Trotsky)/permanent cold war (Burnham), managerial elite (Burnham), global revolution (Trotsky-Burnham). Podhoretz who Mullins quotes admitting the Cold War as a scam is a one of the fathers of the neocon con.
