What is Clean Comedy?

This was a fairly insane—but incredibly funny moment—in my career.

The only difference between this retelling of the story, and how it really happened, is that I said the C-word to them when they said they enjoyed the fact I was a clean comedian.

That’s what caused the man to laugh, and the woman to laugh/blush.

Either way, when I hear comics who are dirty without purpose, it annoys me.

Be clean, be dirty, be whatever you want to be… But make it work.

Swearing in a manner that doesn’t add emphasis to the overall joke is lazy.

And lazy is weak, and rarely funny.
