Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu convened today (Sunday), December 22, 2024, the 21st of Kislev, 5875, the Ministerial Committee for National Security Affairs (the Political-Security Cabinet) at the Northern Command.

Before the discussion, the Prime Minister and Cabinet ministers were presented with a display of weapons confiscated in the villages of southern Lebanon by IDF forces during the ground operation in Lebanon.

Prime Minister Netanyahu heard a review from the Chief of Staff, Maj. Gen. Herzi Halevi, and the Commander of the Northern Command, Maj. Gen. Uri Gordin, regarding the operational activity in Lebanon, which is still taking place these days, and the collection and confiscation of weapons, as part of the activity in the villages, including from warehouses in private homes where Hezbollah weapons and ammunition were found.

Prime Minister Netanyahu also visited a mock tunnel built for demonstration and learning purposes, which included a mock command post, as discovered during the ground operation in Lebanon.
