Latino should be federally recognized as a race and here's why...

In the United States, Latino is an ethnicity, but given the complexity of Races and Ethnicities, Latino should also be classified as a race.

People will say that phenotype is the driving force for race but that isn't entirely true when it comes to the Asian race. Considering the vast majority of people within the Latino ethnicity are mixed race, Latino should also be considered it's own race. If the black race can exist with the 'black American' identity, surely the Latino race can exist with the Latino ethnicity.
