Dr. Con Kafataris Interview – Defending Religious Freedom – X-Candidates 41

We are joined by Dr. Con Kafataris and Michael Andjelkovic, as they detail the history of their advocacy for religious antidiscrimination legislation to be enacted to protect religious expression.

Dr. Con was instrumental in the formation of the Australian Religious Alliance, which lobbied both the Federal and NSW State Governments. At one time, the alliance was comprised of 40 members, with Christians, Muslims, Hindus, Jews and more represented.

Dr. Con and Michael discuss how religious schools may be affected by any changes to existing laws and how a new antidiscrimination bill, similar to one previously proposed by NSW One Nation leader Mark Latham, would protect people like Israel Folau and Margaret Court.

They also touch on proposed vilification laws and why they do not support their introduction.
