I’ve Given Birth Twice - As A Man | MY EXTRAORDINARY FAMILY

LAST time Ta’Nius featured on My Extraordinary Family he had just given birth to his son Za’Nius. Now he has recently welcomed a new addition to the family - his baby boy Zy’Kell. He gave birth to both his sons and is raising them with his partner Royalty. Ta’Nius described finding out he was pregnant a second time a ‘wave of emotions’ because of his experience of pregnancy and delivery of Za’Nius. He said: “Once I’d disclosed to him [Royalty] that I was pregnant, he just reassured me that I wasn’t going to do it alone and it was going to be a better experience.” Ta’Nius has shared his journey as a seahorse dad online but he has been met with a lot of negativity with people saying he is confusing his children or that his children will be trans because he is. People also criticised him for carrying his children. Ta’Nius said: “Just because I transitioned does not mean I don’t want my own biological kids.” He and Royalty are raising their children with love and encouraging them to follow their own path. Ta’Nius added: “My love for my kids is unconditional regardless of what path they choose to go down.” He hopes to become a lactation consultant and create visibility for the trans community. Royalty added: “What I want the younger generation who are trans to know is that it’s okay.”
