DIY Kitchen Sink Rough In

Today, we are installing a sink in the kitchen. Working on a budget for remodeling means that some projects progress in stages. The kitchen has flooring now but no cabinets. While we do not have the lumber right now to build cabinets, we do have enough scrap lumber to build a prototype cabinet to hold the kitchen sink. With the sink installed, we would have all the basic necessities covered and be able to move in. We are excited to settle into a new rhythm that does not include multiple trips up and down the hill. While this is not a permanent solution, the sink is in its space correctly so that the plumbing can be built out, allowing us to use it. While building out the full set of cabinets, we will already have the proper plumbing in place.
