Away in a manger

This lesson is a special Christmas addition which explores the deeper meaning of Christmas, according to the context of the well-known story about a manger. Jesus and his family were actually NOT alone and/or rejected in Bethlehem during the birth, as some versions of this story are told. Luke's use of the word for manger and guestroom/inn/upper room are telling, when compared to the archaeological record and some texts of the Hebrew Bible.
