How Adulthood Became Unattainable (updated)

Why does the age of adulthood rise year after year? Should it? Is it a good thing that you'll be treated like a juvenile well into your 30s?

It is a scientific fact that people grow up faster now. We are taller younger. We start and finish puberty significantly earlier than 100 years ago.

But rather than acknowledge the fact that we're reaching adulthood quicker, our society has decided to act like we are children much longer.

It's a bizarre delusion which created the widespread myth of a long "adolescence", a concept with zero scientific foundation.
