Why is this popular rest stop in Merritt, BC being left to rot?

I was just driving by this once popular rest stop in a lovely log style cabin in Merritt and was struck by the fact that it's sitting empty. Then I realized who is responsible and once again we can blame our government, namely Destination BC.
