Ukrainian Man Recounts Forced Mobilization Experience

In a deeply troubling video, Alexander Nikolaevich from the Kiev region, shares his harrowing experience of being forcibly mobilized into Ukraine’s military.

“They stopped the bus on my way to work and handed me a draft notice.”

According to Alexander, he and 200 others were loaded onto buses and transported across checkpoints into Russia. Once processed, they were warned against desertion.

“They told us if you try to leave, it will only get worse. The best you could expect is criminal charges. At worst, you’d disappear without a trace.”
