She wanted to go out for dinner recently and I told her I didn't think I was paid from work yet. Most of the arguing between them is about exactly that. She wanted to study something they did not see the point of. She was told if she wants to make her own choices, she can pay for it herself and she did just that. Her parents are pretty much my house, my rules and if you don't like it, get out. For the most part she is fine with a lot of rules until she is not. She moved out 2 days after her 18 birthday. Her parents never figured she had the audacity to call their bluff and do what they said they would do. As far as the extended family knows, she moved out because of school. Her parents even bought all the stuff for her new place. She didn't even ask them. This what I mean when I say that a lot things she does are hard to explain. She can be subtle about strong arming people. We went to a meet up with 30 people or so
and we head out for lunch. She asked if the orange juice was fresh. The hole table heard the waiters say it was fresh. One sip and she called her back. There was a bit of a back and forth until the waiters brought her a bottle to point out where it said fresh. She took out her wallet, put down money for the drink and said if this was suppose to be fresh then she would not be eating, but she was more then happy to see how everyones food was going to turn out.
