Wallace Grills Giuliani On Characterizing Cohen As A Liar — Previously Called him Honest

To recap, Giuliani––who’s now claiming someone “played around” with the tape released last week––has been on a tear about how dishonest Cohen is. But back in May he was calling Cohen honest and honorable.

Wallace played that clip of Giuliani this morning and directly asked him, “What happened?”

“I found out, as everyone else did,” Giuliani said, “that he was surreptitiously recording his clients, which is a disbarrable offense. Obviously if I knew that, I never would have said he was a reputable lawyer, I’d have said he was a scoundrel.”

He even brought up the reports of Cohen recording a conversation with CNN’s Chris Cuomo.

Giuliani said he’s listened to more tapes and has concluded Cohen is a “pathological manipulator [and] liar.”
