World's OLDEST Eateries are in Madrid! 🇪🇸 (Botin and more..)

Madrid Restaurants are some of the oldest in the entire world. This Madrid Food tour vlog it's all about exploring the ancient restaurants and tabernas, and taste antique recipes that have made the culinary history of the Spanish capital.

First we go for an early breakfast to Chocolateria San Gines ( https://goo.gl/maps/7ySZSQKUX7FLCHs99 ), rumored to be the oldest chocolateria and churreria of Madrid. For less than 5£ you get a rich and cream chocolate with some superb crunchy churros. Come here early or prepare to join massive queues!

For lunch we go to the famous Sobrino de Botin ( https://goo.gl/maps/iWLFMXSH1FVnCJzc8 ), the oldest restaurant in the world according to the Guinness World Record. I got into the "Botin Experience" which for 80£ gives you access to a tour of the restaurants, including the old rooms, the cellar and the 300yo ancient oven which was never shut! The price obviously includes a set menu with the specialities of the place, including the world famous Cochinillo Asado, a suckling pig which will hunt you in your dreams.

We continue with a pre-dinner aperitif at the historic Casa Amadeo Los caracoles ( https://goo.gl/maps/vFDEx8XV3o3ZDjkp6 ), for a tasty treat of snails in tomato and paprika sauce with two slices of chorizo. Simply divine, and what a scenic and nostalgic tavern!

Finally we end up in the oldest taberna of Madrid, Taberna Antonio Sanchez, ( https://goo.gl/maps/TUiQ9cBbducvFmfa9 ) which has been serving generations of bullfighters! Surprise surprise, their best dish is rabo de toro, an oxtail stew with chunks of meat so tender that I will never forget.
