What Are They Digging For? Crystal Temple, Menkaure Project & Forbidden Khentkawes

Welcome to Ancient Odysseys! Join me in my adventures as I explore and investigate the mysteries of ancient sites across the world!

In this Episode… I will take you along on our expedition to the Giza Plateau to investigate the new and controversial project at the Pyramid of Menkaure , which is to retrieve and restore the red granite casing stones and which is led by the secretary general of the Supreme Council of Antiquities, Mostafa Waziri.
Waziri dubbed this to be, “Egypt’s gift to the world and the project of the century!”

Our expedition doesn’t stop there, next we explore the spectacular Eastern Temple of Menkaure, then we walk through the desert sand to discover what remains of a hidden and marvelous crystal temple.
To conclude our trip, we hike to the forbidden pyramid of Khentkawes and get rare footage of inside the perplexing structure, which some believe to be a “second Sphinx”!
