Major population centers have taken control over the electoral votes in presidential elections. It sucks that California has more votes than 11 other states combined! When you talk about ‘the tyranny of the masses’ you’ve got it right.

A “One-State / One Vote” Electoral College would do away with the dictatorial domination of the more populous states. It would give the same power to a voter in Alaska as one in New York. Wouldn’t that be nice?

Living in Idaho it’s difficult to feel that my vote matters at all. “Famous Potatoes” has nothing to do with the presidential election. At least it’s easy to see that when Portland, Oregon has more political clout than the whole of Idaho!
