The judge decides that the rape complainant of Diddy and Jay-Z can stay nameless Rape case

A woman has filed a lawsuit against Jay-Z, alleging that he and fellow music mogul Sean "Diddy" Combs sexually assaulted her when she was a teenager.

According to court documents examined by DR 24 Judge Analisa Torres decided Thursday that the Alabama lady, named in her case as Jane Doe, may continue to remain nameless throughout the proceedings.

Torres mentioned a number of sensitive aspects in the woman's lawsuit, such as Doe's claim of sexual abuse, her alleged mental health issues, and the possibility that Combs might threaten her if she spoke out against him. He also mentioned that the decision might be reviewed as the case develops.

Jay-Z's lawyer requested earlier this month that the court order Doe to disclose who she is.

On December 8, the lady, who had sued Combs in October, changed her case to include Jay-Z as the other male celebrity who had sexually abused her at an MTV Video Music Awards after-party when she was 13.

Jay-Z called the lawsuit a "blackmail attempt" by Texas-based lawyer Tony Buzbee in a statement at the time. Jay-Z's entertainment organization, Roc Nation, and his legal team were later sued by Buzbee's law firm for allegedly offering a former client money in exchange for suing Buzbee's firm.
Judge Torres declined Jay-Z's request to have Jane Doe's case dismissed in his decision on Thursday. Jay-Z had previously asked for Doe's claim against him to be rejected.

Citing an NBC News interview in which Doe said she had "made some mistakes" in her memory of the alleged assault, the rapper's lawyers requested in a memorandum of law filed on December 18 that the judge exclude him from the woman's amended complaint and strike it in its entirety.
