How to make river sand aquarium safe

hello! this is just a small video i put together to show how i persionaly like to make river sand or rock safe for the aquarium all i do is just get the sand from the lake or river, boil it for about 20ish minutes to eleminate any parasites or bad bacteria in the sand than let it dry in a seprate bucket and wulaaa aquarium safe sand from a river or lake! hope it helps!
