We are joined again by former Federal political staffer, Cumberland City Mayor and current Councillor, Steve Christou.

Steve is always both honest and outspoken with his views and he proved this during the lockdown period in Sydney. Steve led the way in standing up for his community, and he is back at it again, this time putting his efforts behind the No campaign for the upcoming Voice to Parliament referendum.

We speak to Steve about the referendum and he shares why he feels it has taken the focus off the cost of living pressures currently being felt by the community as they battle with inflation, rising interest rates and housing affordability.

Steve would rather be classified as an ‘elected representative’ rather than a politician and this authenticity shows. He is frank, unapologetic and his common sense approach, without the political spin, has seen him gain notable media coverage during his time in Council.
