Turtle Wow - Patch 1.17.2 Weapon Skill Guide

Please join me for another relaxing video of Turtle wow content exploration. On this episode, I am showing you how to complete the Pre-requisite quests for the new weapon skills.

His work contains also the location of the each weapon quest, but since i won't be paying 275-280g (250g for the quest and +25g for the text) for each weapon type, i won't be covering that part.

During the 1.17.2 patch TWoW tweaked how weapon skill works. Linked below is the developer patch notes on how weapon skill was changed :

The Weapon Skill formula has been altered.
In short this means that any form of extra Weapon Skill now affects your character linearly and no longer works with awkward breakpoints causing Weapon Skill on items or spells to change in value based on your character's amount.
You can now acquire books that grant +5 skill increases to specific weapon types via new quests.
Fighting bosses and creatures 3 levels higher than you no longer applies a 1% hit suppression, so the hit cap against them has been effectively moved from 9% to 8%. This also means that the "soft cap" of 305 skill that used to counteract the 1% hit suppression, no longer exists.
In addition, the benefit provided by skill from 300 to 304 and 305 to 308 has been smoothed out, each point of skill now providing the exact same benefit of 0.2% hit chance and 2% reduced glancing damage penalty.
Reduced the amount of weapon skill granted by racials from +5 to +3.

Weapon skill now caps at 315 but there are many more sources of weapon skill out there in TWoW.

Quest Chain to get weapon skill books
1. 00:25 Come to Fray Island to start Iron Determination. Fray Island is located next to Ratchet.

2. 10:35 After you pick up Iron Determination you will want to go to Felwood. Go inside the cave and loot the object that looks like a root.

3. 24:15 Wisdom from Failure is the next quest in the series which wants you to talk to 3 people.
- Sakgoth is right outside in the lobby area of the house that you accepted the quest from.
- Klannoc is outside of the other building on Fray Island.
- Kai'fai is in Gadgetzan next to the big cage in the center of Gadgetzan. 31:30
- The answers to the list of three questions are below:
1st Question: Second Option
2nd Question: Third Option
3rd Question: Second Option

4. 43:51 Next quest will be The Strength to Move Mountains. You need to loot an item from a lvl 60 elite mob located in north Burning Steppes. He has around 20k health and hits like a truck. It is not soloable, so bring some friends.

5. 57:25 Proof is the next quest in this series and brings you to Sakgoth. After this point Sakgoth is the one who will offer you +5 weapon skills for every weapon you can use. An Ancient Warefare Text and 250 raw gold is required to start these quests.

6. Every weapon skill requires an Ancient Warefare Text which drops from any level 50 or above dungeon/raid boss.
